Stephan Lally
Stephan Lally is a lifelong Woodbridge Township resident who graduated from Woodbridge High School in 2016;
Stephan joined the Board of Education in June 2025 and sits on the Curriculum and Technology, Buildings and Grounds, and Negotiations committees;
He has dedicated his career to public service and strengthening the New Jersey communities. He began as Student Government President at Ramapo College, where he helped establish the school's first food pantry and Emergency Student Relief Fund, making a real difference for students in need;
Currently, Stephan serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Advisor to the Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly where he works on legislation, coordinates key initiatives, and helps ensure families' voices are heard at the State House;
Through every role, Stephan has shown his commitment to service, collaboration, and delivering results that matter for people and their communities.
District Accomplishments
Championed $140 million in capital investments through referendums to build a brand new Ross Street School #11, nearly brand new Woodbridge Middle School, additions to Lafayette School #25 and Matthew Jago School #28, renovated Avenel Street School #4 and almost complete School #5;
Stabilized taxes and spending via full State Aid funding; consolidated two schools and maximized grant writer services;
Modernized student experience with more electives, revised curriculum and controlled class sizes and 100% class air conditioning;
Maintained college and career partnerships with Rutgers, NJIT, Syracuse, Rider, Monmouth, Middlesex College and Lincoln Tech;
Hired at least one dedicated security officer per school to ensure highest level of school safety
Our Platform
Ensure social and emotional well-being of all students;
Control spending and reinvest in student development, teacher professional development and infrastructure;
Re-focus on early intervention and academic support at lower grade levels via Academic Coaches and High-Impact Tutoring;
Initiate new District-wide Strategic Plan to plan for the future of WTSD;
Maintain a working partnership with the McCormac Administration to maximize taxpayer resources
